Muzzins’ newest single DIDJA MISS ME?! is a lusty, feral dance-floor hit that grabs you by the ears from the very first note. The opening synth line is a clarion call beckoning the listener with a mischievous finger to slip inside a sonic cocoon. Soon you’re surrounded by a growling, groovy bassline and a foot-thumping, floor-pounding drum beat. And when the vocals kick in, the spell begins: now you’re helplessly in the grips of a bratty beast that will taunt you, tease you and torment you in the most pleasurable of ways, tossing and turning you this way and that until the very end, when you’ll want to go back to the beginning and do it again. Take this track to the gym, play it at dance parties, put it on repeat on a long commute: this is a sonic space you might find very satisfying to be in for long periods of time. DIDJA MISS ME?! also serves as an exposition of one of the psychedelic trio’s core philosophies: make the most using the least.
